Yea i ride mine every once in a while, i got tire chains but not enough ground clearance, and way too much power, if i ever go past 1/2 throttle or try to shift up to second i just dig ditches.

i ride except when the amount of clothes required hinder me. living in east texas is weird. one day it might be 90, the next, 30. makes for interesting weather. forget going more than 60mph when 30* or less outside with local clothes.

I had a problem getting going with the knobby tires that were on, so I slapped on a set of these in the rear, I was plowing thru everything but couldn't steer. So before anyone tells me I have the tire spinning the wrong way I did that to try to get a little slip.

make two lock collars.. what you tryin to hold in place? if its not important and just locating a shaft that dont have side to side play take duct tape and put a long strip on either side of a bearing and make sure it gets pretty thick... and there you go..

I love to drive in the snow.. well at least 1 or 2 inches of it.
On this new kart I put RED ground FX on it so the groung lights up all red under it.
Last New years my girl started watching a movie that I wasn't into at all and decided to go out driving the kart ( first asked her if she minded).
It was awesome and stupid ....AWESOME : I went out and put 5 miles on it through town in one direction and then came back home, she was still into the movie and so I went out again this time I went out about 6 Mi. the other way .... man that was fun flying down the streets I even had some people yell "wooohooo yaaa!! " and lots of smiles and waves... I just would wave back and yell HAPPY NEWYEAR and then zip around the corner.
STUPID : I stoped at my gf cousins house to see what she was doing/ spending New Years ... she saw what I was driving and then said " didn't you see the paper yesterday?"... "no, why?"..." every police and shariff dep. is going to be out tonight " well to make a long story short. It was stupid to do on that night ...I was sweating all the way home " stupid why didn't I think of that..lots of cops out tonight."

I was just thinking how every thing's all backwards out here in the desert where I'm at. Out here a lot more guys ride their karts in the Winter and park-em over our long miserable, blast-furnace Summers, It'll get up to 71 with clear skies here today.

Last Summer I hooked up with some other karters to ride/race at a big industrial parking lot they were running. There was no lights to run at night so we all met at 6am. to get in a couple good hours riding before we all started roasting from all that reflected heat coming up from the hot blacktop. By 9am. everyone was drenched in sweat and ready to split. We all agreed to try and start the parking lot races back up over the Fall/Winter season.

yes, I ride my go kart in snow. Would any body have a solution for rust on axles? Last year, after winter, I tried to remove my wheel hub from the axle and just didn't want to came out.

Thank you
