I am working on a Go Kart for my sons birthday. I got it all ready, worked out, layed out, seats made good to go except for one small detail, rear drive wheel was flat. I figured it would be an easy fix, it just a needed a tube. Well as you may be able to see in the picture i mangled the plastic wheel trying to get the tire off. Does anyone reconize this, know what to call it? where i might find another one? since its a tube tire i dont believe i mangled it bad enough not be usuable but just incase id like to know where to get a replacment if possible. the cart i am working on is 2 different carts pieced together to make one and is already layed out and welded up with this drive wheel setup. Id hate to have to change to something else at this point.
ANy help would be greatly appreciated.

That looks to just be a rim with a big cog meant for toothed belt drive. What size rim is it and what kind of rear axle set up do you have currently?

Where is the valve stem?????? Is it straight or 90*??

There is some more pictures below. The tube has a angled valve stem and I already ordered the new one. I do not know what you would call the axle setup, it and the wheelss and tires came off of the frame standing on its side, i had to stretch the axle about 3 inches so it would fit the other frame. I am not sure what the rim size is but the tire says 12x6.00-6.

It looks to be a dead axle or 1WD kart. Was this ever one of those concession karts where you pay to ride? That toothed belt drive system is most common on those types of karts. You could try to find another rim with that cog attached. This would be cheapest as you have the clutch and belt. If you are unable to find one of these (I don't know where to look for one), you could easily switch to chain drive with a new clutch, rim, sprocket, and chain, but this probably wouldn't be as cheap.

It is definetly 1wd. I really know nothing about the cart, i bought it from some guy on craigslist for $60. I just bought it for the motor and wheels since the motor had the clutch and everything already on it, not to bad since it runs excellent.
But yeah, those are my two problems, cash is tight as i just payed $5900 to get my car fixed and i dont know where to look for one. Not to mention most of the drive wheels and things i do find all seem to be for a 5/8" axle. This cart has 3/4" axle and spindles on it.

I agree with redsox's,,,,,,,,99% of the time, 90* valve stems are for 2 piece wheels.....there fore split rim's....more than likely,the center piece unscrew's...look closely for a collar on the hub.. You have 6" rim/tires

The wheels are definetly 1 piece. Not sure where you got "Weedwhacker" motor from, its a 4hp motor

That would be one monster of a weedwhacker.
Actually, don't laugh too hard. There's a retired woman I sometimes do handyman work for and she has this beast of a whacker- I don't remember the specs exactly, but it's got a vertical shaft engine in the 6hp range. It rides on two wheels about 12" diameter, and the trimmer head sticks out front. First time I saw her I asked what it was all about. She said she found that a normal gas weedie was too much for her arms for the length of time she's using it. This one supports its own weight. Cool, really.

I think i know what your talking about, but i think it is considered a "Brush Cutter" and not really a weed whacker.
Anyway... Know where i can find one of these stupid plastic wheels?? haha. thanks.

The FunderWheels kart wheels aren't available anymore. We'll be converting one to steel wheels later this week for a customer, the wheels are glued together from factory and were basically disposable. As promotional karts they weren't built to last.

Can you post a link? I cant find the wheel you are talking about...didnt have much of a chance to look this morning though.
And I would like to find that exact wheel so they all match, otherwise I have to replace the whole set and probably switch it to a chain drive. I dont want to have to do all that if i dont have too.

Thanks man. How is there customer service? I wonder if i emailed them a picture if they could tell me if that cog thingy would fit those wheels? If I cant get the new tube installed and the tire mounted I think i may just get a whole new set and switch drives. I think if i have a problem later doen the road finding parts to fix it is going to be more trouble than its worth.
