Hi guys i am thinking about replacing my robin subaru 4hp engine with a lafin 15 hp engine....But my question for everyone out there is this lafin 15 hp engine a good or bad engine? if possible could you tell me the speeds it may be able to produce without any modifications

idk if that could take 15hp. you would need to reinforce the frame, get some bigger tires.

and its 5am where i am lol.

ok....i will look for some frames tomorrow.lol...but i'm just curious if i were to go ahead and put the engine on it what would probably happen? o yea and are lafin engines a good brand?

one it wouldn't fit. two the clutch wouldn't fit the engine. three if you some how manage to get the engine in and working it would probly warp the axle.

do you mean lifan? there a good engine. but if you want just go to 6.5hp. plenty of power with a Torque converter.

why do you want 15hp?

ohhhhhh lifan.lol...i was thinking if i got a 15 hp i wouldnt need to get a torque converter/header/or air intake to get up to the speed that satisfies me... how fast do you think it'll go if i did add the torque converter to the 6.5 hp engine?

nope...but i think im going to buy the 6.5 hp since u suggested...besides i'll be saving about 400 bucks. in the kart is a lazy/lousy/boring 4hp subaru robin

then with much less money and next to no mods you will have a nice kart to ride.

but watch the gearing. if you get bigger tires you may have to change it.

if you want quality. the Tav 2. used or new there still good. or you could look for a Chinese knock-off version cheap usually i have no idea of there quality.

Hey dude, thanks for saving me a alot of cash.....i guess i'll go out and by the engine today. and just wait for the torque converter to arrive .....i think i'll add the intake and header also.. ( I got a need for speed)
