Do you need single flange hubs for non drive wheels?

I do know for a fixed axle setup you use a dual flange hub to connect the tire and the sprocket and put that over got fixed axle.

For all the non Drive wheels do you need single flange hubs? Only the opposite tire of the drive wheel has one currently, it's shorter the the dual flange hub but still is one. The two front tires, don't have single flange hubs, just have bearings.

You only need single flange hubs for the non drive wheels as you don't need to connect anything to them.

So, you should have 1 double & 3 singles in total for a single wheel drive/dead axle

You can also use 1 piece wheels on anything coaster. It doesn't necessarily need to be split rim.

thank you blazkowiez, that answered my question. only the tire opposite the drive tire is also a split rim. the 2 front tires are 1 piece, so i wouldnt be able to attach a single flange hub.

No need, if its 1 piece you should have a hole 1 3/8" in diameter. In which case you can fit a 5/8" high speed bearing in place of whatever bushing.

For that matter if you need they make 1 piece wheels with 4 bolt hubs on them. You can have 1 piece all around. If you've got split rims use them, they've fantastic, but when buying things 1 piece saves money.
