wiki says:

It is a commonly held misconception that when flushed, the water in a toilet bowl swirls one way if the toilet is north of the equator and the other way if south of the equator, due to the Coriolis effect – usually, counter clockwise in the northern hemisphere, and clockwise in the southern hemisphere. In reality, the direction that the water takes is much more determined by the direction that the bowl's rim jets are pointed, and it can be made to flush in either direction in either hemisphere by simply redirecting the rim jets during manufacture. On the scale of bathtubs and toilets, the Coriolis effect is too weak to be observed except under laboratory conditions

iduno about that tho

The whole website is full of BS. :roflol:

Jeremy.

Actually, no. I did a report in school on the validity of Wikipedia, arguing that it should be a valid source for research. For every 3 mistakes in the Encyclopedia Britannica, there are 4 mistakes on Wikipedia, not to mention how many more articles are on Wikipedia compared to the encyclopedia.

What, so because you did a project, that makes it true? How do you know your information came from a credible source?

From the Wikipedia site:

Wikipedia is not considered a credible source....However, citation of Wikipedia in research papers may not be considered acceptable, because Wikipedia is not considered a credible source. This is especially true considering anyone can edit the information given at any time.

So to me, this says that anyone can proclaim to be the expert of anything under the sun and manipulate pages to suit.

Just my 2c

Jeremy.
