His dad works for toyota and is a mechanic by trade so hell help out alot and has a ton of tools. In additiion to my talents and tools i think wed be able to fix em both up. maybe sell one to get back funds. idk just yet. its his call still but what do you guys think, junk or nice projects.

I'd find out if the two engines are the same before making any offers. Engine on left is missing shroud and recoil, maybe more. Go low. Kart on right is an anchor at best. Value COMPLETELY depends on engine.

yeah my friends only got like 20 bucks so were gonna see if the guy ever responds and if he does then well see if we can get the one on the left thats in better shape or both for 20. lol. He has an old tiller with a 5 horse briggs that were fixing up. it has some potential so if anything we would use that for the kart. The seat we can make out of metal and wood and my mom does sewing so she could stitch it up nice for us. and then grind it off and paint

Sounds easy enough but you never know. Ill only get it for 20 bucks thats the most ill spend on it

A big part of your decision is what level of fabrication are you capable of? Do you have a tube bender? If you get hold of a kart that's broken and worn out, you can rebuild it a lot more easily than building a whole new kart, because the pattern is already there for you.

i agree the frame (left) is not so bad.. clean it up a little and if it was mine i would put riding mower wheels on it and a solid axle. the engine wont be useable without so many parts that you can buy a new clone for less. it looks like a predator kinda,..

Why do you guys think the home made one is trash? Sure, it doesn't look great but I don't remember go karting ever being about fashion. If it just needs a carby clean or something and then it's ready to go, I'd grab that one for sure. It looks like you could just slap that Briggs on it and go! It does appear to have crappy trolley wheels on it though.

The other one appears to need a fair bit of work and has quite a few missing parts, it's also a 2 seater which would be a negative for me. You never know though, the guy might have all the missing parts.
