Sid brought up patches in the past. I've been trying to find a source for embroidered fabric patches that's cheap, but haven't yet. One place quoted me 8 bucks a patch!

I have a source for *leather* patches that might be interesting.. They are laser-burned on to the leather.

Anyone interested in that? No color, it would just be the logo like the sticker, but in natural leather color background and darker where the laser does its work. We could probably get those made, and shipped to your door for $3-5 a piece total. I haven't twisted his arm yet, maybe cheaper.

I might have a few done just for fun either way. He made me some sweet drink coasters in leather a couple of years ago (different design). Maybe I'll get some new coasters with DIY on them.

Yeah I don't know how hard it is to sew on. I guess it just would just matter what you are sewing them on to.

OK well I'm going to move forward then, and order about 20 of these things. Probably won't be until mid January, I think he's really busy until then, but we'll see. Worst case scenario is that I have a bunch of leather coasters for a cold drink on a hot day. Gotta think ahead!

I hope I didn't speak too soon -- because I know he sells his stuff retail at 10 / each .. but that's retail money.. Hopefully I can talk him into a cheap price and pass it along to you guys. I sent the graphics over today, there will need to be some changes since you can't do different colors on leather, so probably knock out the orange and the leather will be the color where the orange was, and the burned laser part will be the blue part.
