Just think of all the parts you could use from this guys house. Looks to be all 3 wheelers.

Saw this pic posted on three wheeler world dot com.

Just crazy, amagine picking through this stuff. Not sure how you would feel, but I would be in hog heaven picking thru here. It is a shame to see good parts go to waste.

:drool5: I saw something like that on that American Pickers show on History channel. Actually, the guy had more stuff like that. I wonder how many complete trikes you could build outta those.

WHYYYY do people insist on doing this kind of thing? It kills me to see so much good iron rot into the ground (it's even worse with classic car junkyards).....

the main salvage yard i go to looks like that. the guy just lets the trees and crap grow into the bikes, atvs and atcs. every so often, he takes a dozer through and clears it bikes and all. then he gets in more stuff. the lastest vehicle he has out there is probably earlier '90s. red springs motor salvage red springs tx. probably a good 5 acres of mainly bikes.

from the original thread

Yes, it is in Campton, Kentucky. The name of the place is Motowizards. Guy named Bill ( who oddly looks like Bill Elliot's twin brother) runs the place, nice guy. We went there because he had a 86 Tecate that I knnow had been there for over 10 years. I had always said I was going to buy it. Of course when I finally went to get it, he had sold it about a month earlier. Someone in Ohio came down for it. Oh well..... And yeah, I wish I could afford to go clean him out.

I will bet my next paycheck that this guy has all these parts for his prices are sky high. I know a guy that has lots of junk. not cars and bikes just junk but good junk. He will not sale a thing no matter what. He knows he will never get time to touch it. It will sit and rot.

I feel your pain, however, a small town near me is more or less built around a collection of hundreds of rare cars just rotting away in a paddock. Think of it this way, when the cars were put there they were pretty worthless, most had expensive to fix issues. The alternative was for them to be scrapped, I think its much better that the cars are there and have the potential to be restored or be used for parts than being scrap. I imagine this trike place is a similar thing.

Thanks

Hayden

Hes a horder. Its sad really. I hate to think about all that metal rusting and sinking into the ground. Someone could really use that.

About two years ago when I moved here, on my way into town I noticed a guy with about 5 solid acres of every kind of junk you can imagine. He has cars, machinery, mowers, BBQ grills, appliances, shelving, you name it. I've been told that he doesn't ever sell anything, and if he shows up at an auction you might as well just go home. Seems like a waste. I could build a cool go-kart out of just the mowers.

I should take a photo of that place some time.

A few months ago a friend of mine and craigslist fanatic says "hey did you see that add on craigslist for '20+ go-kart frames for $300, must take all'?" When I looked it was gone. He said "I was gonna call you but I forgot about it.

He's no longer a friend of mine:2guns:
