DIY Display/datalogger(Arduino, bluetooth,Android)

New to this forum... Looking for some info.

Just finished piecing together a 08 Intrepid explorer chassis with a Honda CR125 2 stroke. I am looking to install some gauges(MPH,RPM,temps etc.)
Alot of people run the Mychron 4 dash, but for the price it's pretty pricey. Then to get full functionality from it you have to buy an extension box, plus more sensors.

I was wondering if anyone knew a place that sells a DIY kit(similar to the Megasquirt systems), that had sensors for speed, temps, etc with either a lcd display, or better yet one that could send the info to my smart phone?(kinda like PLX system for cars)?

U can junp on ebay and get hold of a chinese motorcycle dash

One of those one size fits all type things
They oftern come with a range of sensors

Then its just a matter of working out where to.install each sensor

Yea that aint cheap

And to get it to your phone
U will need an obd type setup

Then u ask yourself
Do u really need it more than the cash in hand
Or is it just for the wank factor

and with DIY you mean "Let someone do it for me" ?

I mean, all you need is a bigger Arduino or if you want to dial in on the safe side a Raspberry Pi,
some sensors a battery and whatever output device you want.
if it's a display or a bluetooth or a wireless module..

But I assume you want ready made code for the task, correct?
Then I'm sorry.. I don't know a source for that I'm afraid

simple multichannel dataloging codes are easily to find,
as well as codes to read any sensor and power any display or wirelss connection,
even tiny webservers (for easiest phone connection via webbrowser)

but I'm afraid it'd be up to you to stack them together. *shrugs*
