Ended up welding the crank pin in place, then welded a rod between the counterweights on the other side,
whatfor stiffin up the crank, as it's not supposed to be driven from the end. After that weldin,
got the bearings nice'n clean and grinded on the crank until it achieved near perfect balance.
Spins smooth, should work great.

Got it thrown all back together, way better than before, and filled up with oil, ready to rip.
Hope it holds up to the torque of the yanmar 4.8hp diesel , direct chain drive, overdriven
to reduce torque and better match what the original motor was spinning for the gearbox.
