Hello guys,

I'm considering to buy a plan. I don't want the make the same mistake twice.

I've seen on the Dirt Devil plan. Which is, in my opinion, quite nice. However, I have a few questions.

Plan can be found here: http://www.diyden.net/html/plans.html
Are the measurements metric?
How width is this in total?
Has anybody built this kart yet? Were the plans worth the money? Is it a good frame?

I've seen some videos on youtube and the frame was pretty high off the ground. Wouldn't this cause me to flip upside down pretty fast?

Thanks in advance,
Nodroz

We built the Dirt Devil. The plans are metric so they are very easy to follow.
The kart is easy to build overall. You can play with dimensions if you know what you are doing and you can deviate from them as it suits you.
In our case the rear suspension was changed a little bit. We also changed the rear brake setup and didn't make all the machined parts.

It's a great kar if you want to off-road as we've found the suspension really does work and provides a smooth ride.

Sharing is stealing. These companies who make plans have spent thousands of hours and dollars in R & D, and it is not ethical to distribute them. If you try that sort of thing here on the forum, you will be banned
