Hello, I am from New Zealand and have traded one of my designer coffee tables (brucidesign.com) for a dirt devil. The previous owner said that there are problems with the chain when driving over uneven ground.any advice would be much appreciated. I havent picked the cart up yet so will be a few weeks before I can work on it. Thanks.

Dirt Devil Chain Problem

If that's the design from DIY Den, chain issues can be a problem if the engine isn't properly positioned.
The suspension design uses a swing arm like a motorcycle. The output shaft of the motor has to be aligned concentrically with the front pivot point, or the chain will loosen/tighten as the suspension compresses or extends. If it's too far off, it could cause the chain to come off or possibly get to tight and break.

HTH,

Tom H.
