Dingo open differential rear end

This dingo has an open differential style rear axle. the final drove sprocket is mounted on some sort of hub which allows each rear wheel to turn independently. How do these normally work, do they have some sort of limited slip system or can they be locked up for better off road performance. Thanks.

I forgot to say that earlier... they could be welded tight, but then you'll might as redo the axle and make it a proper live axle instead...
Ya they have a set of gears inside just like a standard diff, but no pinion...The diff case mounts a sprocket, so no redux like a standard diff.

Ones train of thought as per marketing...... Im guessing.

But it would be better for off roads than on.... need to grip the rough uneven trails.....
Alot if not all track gokarts dont have a diff, not needed for there size.
