Diesel Drift Trike - HELP

Hi all,

New to the forum but hopefully in the right place. I am currently planning out a diesel drift trike build and could use some help in some different areas. I just bought an older Robin/Subaru DY41 engine and could use some help rigging up a throttle mechanism if anyone has any experience with that.

Next, I am not sure what I should use coming off my engine to my axle. Should I use a torque converter or a clutch with the amount of torque that this engine is putting out. Its an 8hp and I put a link to the engine down below for specs.

If someone could point me in the right direction that would be extremely helpful.

Hi,
on a drift trike I think you can get away with a cent clutch rather well
I doubt there's a real need for a TC unless you want to unmount the sleeves and intend to
take the trike for a more civilized ride every now and again

remote throttle should be fairly easy, since most throttle plates are set up to accept
such cable.
just refere to the manual to see how or post a pic of the throttle plate and let us figure it out with you

PS I hope you know what you're doing.. a diesel engine like that weighs a ton and a half compared to a gasoline engine..
and that additional weight will give you a hard time breaking traction if the engine sits above or worse behind the rear axle.
