in the midst of my frustration on the 6.5 mini bike, after stripping all the teeth off the clutch, getting ****ing ****ed off at it, i attempted to convert it to belt drive.

NOPE! it didnt work at all.

so i decided to DO IT RIGHT this time :D

the wheels are going to be i believe 18" carlisle turf saver II's.
the engine is that 6.5 HP clone
ill re-use the seat and possibly steering from the old bike
probably will use some extreme heavy duty #40 chain and sprockets
and the frame will be 14 gauge 1x1" steel square tube

Does that exhaust not need some support?

Is this the last project now? :D

Jeremy.

the exhaust seemed alright on the last bike, :roflol: but if it comes close to the frame i will make a support bracket or linkage.

last project? no way. ill be building 'till death

but it does eliminate the other bike project. it was just too crappy.

yeah it will be cool if it just stays there because the wheel is so fat.

i can take the kickstand off the old mini bike that came off the 6.5 clone dirt bike that came off the 43cc bike that came off the chainsaw bike that came off the razor MX500.

With those tires I say go bigger and build a tote goat style mini bike.

Also slow down with this one. Make it nice. Something you can sell or trade. So yah I am calling you out. You can do it man.

Ditch that seat and make your own. It does not fit the bike if you ask me. Basic seat is easy to make. Go to the junk yard and find a thrashed car seat. Then cut a chunk off the car seat back. Perfect for making seats.

Having such wide, square shaped wheels on a bike, isn't that going to cause cornering problems?

Nevertheless, it looks extremely awesome!

Not just a kickstand- Build a center stand. The type that will hold the rear wheel completely off the ground. It'll be nice and stable, the vibrations (hopefully) won't cause it to "walk" around at idle, the tire can spin when warming up with the choke on...

yea... i need to figure out how to assemble the rear wheel.

im thinking 18" rear axle keyed in the center, also keyed 60T rear sprocket for #40.

then let it roll on pillow blocks. and retainers to keep it from sliding out.

the hub with sprocket is unfortunately not keyed, its a dfferential, so i wont use it. the wheel is 3/4" diameter.

then i need to do the front hahha!

well i might be able to make it less wide if i find a 3/4 keyed sprocket 60t #40 chain if it comes out from the wheel less than 3"

the hub now takes 3" out from the 8" wheel and i have to make the other side even so it has to be 14" wide at the moment.

hellppp...? ill be looking for parts the next few days... cant work on it im going snowboarding.
