I picked up these four Tires and Wheels on Craig's list. $60Bucks U.S.
Not a bad deal, the wheels are all 1 piece aluminum.
The blacks are Douglas wheels.
The gold wheels say Max Pressure 4bor. Whats that? Metric?
Also the Gold ones have 3 little thingys in them What are those?
and I of the gold wheels came with a Hub. cool
All four tires are Bridgestone 4.5/10.0-05. and are pretty dry rot cracked but hold air.

it's bar not bor .. yes metric (~58 psi)

Also I have a strong feeling the gold ones are NOT aluminium!
(I think those are magnesium wheels) if you see a VEGA stamp anywhere on them.. they are most definitely magnesium
(a complete set around here sells for €150 at least)

The "thingies" are securing bolts,
they lock the tyre bead in place so it can't slip in a fast/tight corner.
But there should be six! (three on each side)

Ok Cool.
Yes upon closer looking it does say bAr and nope, only 3 bead locks.
I do not see a VEGA stamp but there is a weird little logo, kinda looks like a road course or a fancy Y.
I will try and see if the Iphone can pick up the logo and post a pic.

Ok so I see VEGA makes Tyres but not wheels, Must be a rare thing or old.
Here are the pics of the logo. I guess it looks more like an "R"

yepp looks liek an "R" to me too..
maybe a Righetti Rudolfi *shrugs*

Vega.. hmm that's actually quite possible.. I remember a set very much alike yours,
magnesium.. with a decal on the bed ... but maybe that decal was put there by the owner, not the manufacturer.. I don't know.
But it had the same three spokes (especially the supports and the rounded mounting flats [grey vs gold] looked identical IIRC)

Ok so I bought some hubs for these
Product Specs:
Lightened racing rear wheel hub
3/16" Keyway
Dual American bolt pattern for both 1/4" & 5/16" bolts
Choice of 1/4" or 5/16" bolts
Billet aluminum construction
2-1/2" Bolt Circle

They do not fit. Are these wheels possibly/probably metric? If so what is the standard metric hub size?

---------- Post added at 08:36 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:34 PM ----------

Probably this:
Metric Bolt Pattern: (3) 8mm bolt holes on a 58mm circle

So the pic Sid posted above is from ebay and there is a guy selling these gold wheels for 69.99EACH! http://www.ebay.com/itm/TONY-KART-O...ash=item33b55f27fa:g:ZokAAOSwubRXDye3&vxp=mtr
I do not have Metric hubs for them and I only paid $15 each. and I can keep the bridgstones.
Looks like these are going on ebay.

I also forgot the most basic thing. These wheels would be way too small for rears due to the axle sprocket.
I think I will sell them. Simly cause there is money to be made.
OTK I think that stands for "Official Tony Kart" my wheels are NOT stamped that. The others for sale that seem identical are. Would that make a difference?

Well I doubt OTK stands for "official tony kart" for the simple reason
the company's name is "OTK Kart Group srl" (official tony kart kart ... doesn't make sense, like lcd display)
also official.. is ufficiale in italian... So it'd be UTK then ;)

But frankly, I've never seen OTK written out.. nowhere, so I can't tell of course.

No, it doesn't make a difference.
Well it does make a minor one..
Tony Karts are out there since at least the mid eighties... (Tony Kart srl)
spreading more and more making parts and even different karts (exprit, kosmic...etc)
to not get customers confused (I think) they renamed the parent company
somewhere in 2009/2010 or so.
to be sure an exprit kart owner doesn't read "Tony Kart" on his receipt..
generic parts, like wheels, hubs and so forth getting all confused and such.
or worse the homologation papers..
Since the very same chassis was first sold under the tony kart brand and the kosmic brand and a year later under the brands of Trulli and redspeed...
And it always states the manufacturer first (which was Tony Kart srl before)

Anyways... that's when they started to stamp their products with OTK as well.
Since now they could.

So yeah, the ONLY difference is, your wheels are pre 2010,
the ones you saw on ebay are younger. (maybe as little as a month, maybe as much as ten years)

Whatever they are, those gold wheels are killer!!!

They are killer. ifyou have metric hubs! but I only paid 15 bucks each with the tires!
and they are $128.00 each new. 1 other set on ebay used, and more beat up than mine for 69.99 each.

I am going to sell them just for the Cash.
