I wouldn't wait for that call, that's a quad frame at the back, you really want the motor, tranny, swing-arm assembly and tires from the back. and if he gives you that its worthless, offer them 200 for the whole thing and scrap the leftovers, not many people will want to give you half a cart, then they cant sell the other half, plus your gonna wish you'd bought the other parts later. good luck though

I agree with RYF, you want everything rear of the swingarm. The brakes, tires, and axle won't be cheap. Try to steal the whole brake assembly from it.

you wont gain anything by just getting the motor. What do you want it for anyways? Youd be better off trying to get the whole kart like everyone else suggested. 40 is way to low hell take it as an insult and probably never respond to you again. I would just try to get him to lower the price and get the whole kart. Use the parts you want and scrap te rest or sell it.
