for cutting cutting tubes and pipe could i get an abraisive blade and put it on my sliding compound miter saw? would that work or do i have to buy a new saw?
Other than the part where they slide, they're the same as regular miter saws, aren't they? Mine's a compound miter saw and I put an abrasive blade on it but, it originally came with a blade for cutting wood. It works fine.
OH, one thing though; if you do use it to cut metal and there's a fabric bag for collecting dust in the back, you may want to remove it. Sparks + fabric bag = no bag later. I didn't think about it and cut several pieces of metal before I realized that.
