I have a tourqe a verter on my kart, and it keeps eating belts.

I've talked with a small engine guy, and he and I both have come to the same conclusion : the 669 18 30 belt that came with the kit is just a little too big and too loose.

I've looked online several times unsucessful in trying to find a slightly smaller belt.

Any of you guys have this problem, and if so, what belt have you used in the past?

If it was a kit, I highly doubt it came with the wrong belt. It might be the installation of the kit....

Ad mltoys linked, this is where you check. Measure the center to center distance between the driven and driver and then use that with the chart to see what belt you need. The belts are supposed to be/look loose

If you have a lot more rated horsepower or the vehicle is really heavy it will eat them also.
