I have been trying to come up with a muffler design for my go kart to quiet it down, and this is what i came up with after a month of planning.

100% aluminum so it barely weighs anything, and it cuts down the noise quite a bit. :bannana:

This last link shows the inside of the pipe, and the end that slides over the header and clamps down.

Let me know if the links work, i also have a video with the sound difference from before to after.

Insanely nice work. I wish I have fab skills like yours. Its been said before but a construction break down would be awesome.

Dang, that's NICE! Tell us exactly how you constructed that! And yes- sound bites would be great!

It took over a month of thoughts and searching for the correct fitting parts, all made from aluminum for the lightweight design.

I may end up making a few to sell to make up the money i spent on a set of sheet metal hole saws. The only thing this first muffler is missing is the end cap, which i cant fabricate until the hole saws come in.

Once i finish them and see if i can sell a few i will let ya'll know what i bought and where. In the meantime i will show you it disassembled for a more in depth look at it.

This is with a bracket to prevent excessive vibrations.
