Look like bearings that would be in a zero turn wheel. That what they came out of?
Nailed it, I used the whole rim, just cut the tube out the middle and welded it on!

Nice fab work
Thanks, and thanks for the concern.

All 4 them roller bearings/ caps go in the yoke., just for steering.

The front wheel has regular 3/4 x 1 3/8 flanged high speed bearings.

And even if it did explode it would still have the end "bushings"
Yep, way overkill. Most frames have no bearings/ bushings at all, and just wear
down the bolt/ forks with every turn.

Going another direction first, put together a sacrificial 13ci flatty to run 30% Nitro.
Got an abundance of them kicking around.

Sub $20 build, Short header, raptor rod, ported+ shave eyebrows, deleted head gasket,
advanced timing, 18lb springs, ect. Going to play with tuned/ ram air intake. GX390 carb?

You going to go aircraft rating and lay a loop of silk thread?
Interesting, never heard of it! Neat!

The head and block were lapped with grinding compound on a marble slab until
completely flat, then slapped together with a thin smear of permatex super 300.
Never had a leak sofar with this method.

Well if anyone's interested, I made it work.

Exhaust is 22in long, intake 11in.

Take off to about 2800/3k it's a dog, after 3k it hits "powerband" and screams up to 6k? Stock cam.

Also sounds amazing.
Who's going to try this with a predator????? :sifone:

I've only jacked up a Predator 212 to about 12hp. for a minibike, but coupled to a TC made it completely terrifying and unrideable if you don't have a death wish. Adjustable wheelie bar with shocks in pics below wasn't to be cute, it was to keep the front end down (you couldn't scoot far enough forward on the 17" long seat, would lift you up like a floor jack) in drag races (#2), road racing (#3), vertical wheelie showoffs (#4), and fully out of your way for offroading (#5). (#1) spot lifted rear wheel off floor for chain adjustments.

Nice bike , I was more talkin bout applying the tuned long intake runner idea to the Predator/ ect.
It can be done to a stock motor.

But I do have the same problem, no one wants to ride my stuff flat out, so drag racing / comparing them is difficult.
I have no issues with it :roflol:

Anyway, if this flathead is spitting more than 12hp on regular gas, id be very impressive.
I can't see it being more than 8-9. But I almost like it too much to run on nitro.

Enough with the toys, picked me up a proper flatty.

Built years ago, Jr dragster or kart motor?

Cast iron sleeve block, dual ball bearing. Bored .10 over (not .010), stroker crank +.20
Horstman H beam rod, Aftermarket domed piston, big valves+ seats and aftermarket head+ studs , insane welded+ hogged ports,
dual valve springs with billet retainers, and a wild custom welded/ground 347 lift cam.

Looks like it sat after running some corrosive fuel, looks like I can clean it up and
revive the ol gal, can't wait to hear it, should be nasty!
Builder kept the stock flywheel, gonna throw a billet on her.
Based on the lobe separation , 8-9k?

Looks like I need to build an electric starter, as pull starting this thing is not going to be viable.

So what should the new olive drab bike be powered by?

Built 5hp briggs
Turbo GX200
Kohler V-twin

Other?

Early '70s Kawasaki 500 motor could easily get fitted on there. That's the high-revving motor that beat all the 750's, would stand a wheelie at 80mph. I know because I was racing one in a Cyclone at the time. Saw Dale and Mark swap places on it at 90mph. too. Tallahassee, yeeeesh.........
EDIT: Kohler's dad (no relation) totaled his Kawasaki 750 at 65mph, but motor survived with him. Think the 500 idea's too much? Mr.Kohler built a gokart around that 750. Must have really shocked me that I didn't recall it until just now. Mr. K's even crazier than I am.

Just wondering, as opposed to having suspension, is that rigid frame going to make you less likely to die? Mike's dad only built that 750 gokart because he went over the hood of that Chevy, instead of T-boning the passenger compartment at 65mph. It would've been a closed casket.

In the case of most collisions, I think that is trivial in the outcome :worried2:

That's why I'm hesitant on getting a motorcycle.

I only ride mini's on rural back roads.

We got mail, mail box. Fuel!

Only had 1 rod punched through the block, this time we gots a new crank and rod!
MTD engines change the bore size for HP, opposite of honda, that changes the stroke.
So this engine has the same 66mm crank as a 420cc, but smaller 83mm bore. Torque?
Also milled head , and big bore honda carb port matched.

Alright It's finally finished! Only a couple months behind schedule !

Every time I touch the gas the wheel just spins, so no proper send today.
