I do, I'm going to load it up Saturday and test it. It's the same size case, but has a different out put, I can swap that out if needed.

Second engine had no compression either. I'm going to tear down the first one and see how bad the jug looks, if it is okay I may just buy a piston and ring kit.
If it's not I'm going to look at a big bore kit.

Finally have a Saturday off work tomorrow. I'm going to bring both gy6's up to work and tear them down, see what they need and start ordering parts. May just do a rebuild on the quad motor and a performance build on the cart motor

Tore both engines down, found cylinder and Piston in one to be crapped out. The other has a good cylinder, good piston, good rings and a bad head. So I took the good parts off of one and put them in the motor that bolts into the crossfire. Now I have compression and new oil. Also swapped the good clutch and belt from one to the other. Essentially I have a good shape gy6 ready to bolt in just got to get a new ignition coil and plug.

the honda rebel motorcycle engines can be had for pretty cheap... check craigslist, but I've always found those things in motorcycle scarp yards. most can be had for 50 bucks. just know what you're looking for when picking them out at the scarp yards.

its got everything but reverse.. 16 HP. and a transmission.

4/2 ac, I am not to concerned with lights at the moment I just want to ensure that I have the engine portion of the harness wired properly. The cart had a hack job ratsnest of twist caps and scotch locks. I ordered a new performance cdi box, ignition coil, spark pkug, and air filter, they should be here this weekend. Hope I can get it fired up on the bench before installing it in the cart.

Success! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cart motor 1 has fuel, air, and fire. She runs on brake clean, now to mock up a fuel cell for the crossfire, to see if it will run down the street

darn never realized I was asked a question..

You would go based off the stock sprocket size. I believe 520x108 chain is what goes on the rebels. [don't quote me on that] you would just need to find a rear sprocket that would fit your drive shaft that also fits 520 chains Or have a hub built/machined to fit/bolt stock sprockets onto.

Also congrats on the movement OP! :useless:

Just placed an order for a new rear caliper, brake pads, a fuel tank and a muffler. And while I wait on those parts I'm will be installing my seats, harnesses, and separate electrical system for the lights, I plan on running a couple led light bars.
