I wasn’t thrown off by that feature for I have seen such a thing. Looky here: [just skip to 13:00 minutes]. You’ll see on the teaser pic the engine is mounted longitudinally (or is that transversely?) on the kart frame.

As to the “a.i." glamour shots we’re talking about, he did say he “made plans for...” in the paragraph above the alleged a.i. photos. I just didn’t catch it in time. What a sneaky fella.
