Cross kart, worth it??

So I have this stiff chassis that I can't really use out here on this property. It's way under powered, and the lack if suspension makes it very incapable.

I've had the idea for a while of finding a junked Polaris 4x4 four-wheeler (they have chain drive front differentials) and cutting and noticing the front part of the frame, making something that jeeps the steering from operating, and fitting it underneath the rear of this yard kart, and then maybe doing my own dual A arm front suspension in the front end to make a stubby little cross kart. I have a predator 459 that I want to use for now, but later maybe upgrade it to a fourwheeler engine with gears and reverse.

Sorry if this post kinda goes all over the place. That's how my brain tends to work, and putting my ideas into words is hardly ever fluent lol.

Do you guys think that is a worthwhile build? I think it has potential to be something awesome, but it also has potential to be a terrible pile if scrap metal. Whatever it ends up it's gotta be better than it is, right?

I have the equipment and skill to start from scratch and still decided it's better to use a donor. My first try failed too. It's harder than you think.
But in the spirit of DIY, have at it.

I'll try and find the cheapest parts I can. I only paid 40 bucks for that kart, and 60 for the 224 I have in it, but the224 would go in my mini bike, so the most I would be out is time, and whatever junk fourwheeler I buy. So maybe a 200ish dollar screw up if thw back end is a failure.

Keep the Quicksilver and ride it. And start from scratch on the cross kart like Hack said. Put the 420 on the mini bike!
If you don’t have the skills and equipment to start from scratch, you don’t have the skills and equipment to start with a kart and convert it. At least with a running and driving kart it will keep the fire alive.

l'm all for donor parts, repurposed and modified junk. Doing things on the cheap is my area of expertise. If l had pay for this stuff, i wouldn't be doing it. For me the fun is making everything. Chains are a PITA though! There's alotta parts in a chain.
I built that buggy(crosskart wannabe thing) and l just can't see how you can convert tht thing to a cross kart. By the time yer done cutting there wouldn't be much left.
Maybe you have more vision than l and a higher tolerance for hard work, so l wish ya well!
Ya don,'t need a fortune in tools & machines to build these things (but it's really helpful). There's guys here that build some purdy cool stuff, with bacis tools and rescourcefullness. If l can help ya somehow let me know.

I'm either gonna try and make something outta this, or sell it lol. Probably just gonna sell it. I'll have too much money in it if I try to make anything out of it. I've got other plans for my mini bike. First I gotta fix the cracks in the frame or find a donor frame for it.
