Crankshaft too long... Help

Interesting. Well, stupid, really (IMO). Being limited like that would just end up ticking me off. There's probably a purpose for it, but I don't think I'd get along well with the fact that you have but one mounting option.

EDIT- sorry, brain cramp- I just figured it out. You can't physically have that few teeth around a 1" bore...

Well that explains why it will not go all the way on the crank. The step down must start about 1" or so from the backside of the clutch. I do not understand the purpose of the step down? If your are going to shorten the crank, you will still have a problem with the step down.
