Crank it up

I got a mini outlaw bike my son and I made. We're running a 1970s era brigs 3hp. I'm thinking of trying a 5hp crank and side cover, crazy pipe dream or what? Can it be done?
p.s. I'll show a pic of the bike if I can figure out how.

A 5HP crank will most likely not fit at all. Side cover? Nope.
