yeah I never got around to wet sanding or buffing it and I only used 80 grit to sand down most ofthe truck before painting it. It would definitely look better if I had, but I saw pics of a paint job with this paint that was wet sanded and buffed and after 2 years it was still shinin'.

the type of paint will dictate what gun you need to use. that type of gun is for thick stuff like primer, gelcoat, industrial paint, and house/furniture paint.
if you're going to paint something more serious where finish matters, get an HVLP gun. people try to go cheap on the gun and get the $15 general purpose one instead of the $35-$50 HVLP but that price difference will be negated right away with the wasted paint due to poor coverage or splattering.

paint tips i found out the hard way:
- mix correctly when using HVLP, otherwise it's useless
- mix in separate containers, not in the cup. it will clog the gun right away
- hardware store paint thinner doesnt work on auto paint. use lacquer thinner
- dont guess the PSI, theres a reason why they wrote it on the gun
