So everything I've worked on up to this point I've tried to spend as little $ as possible on. I always think to myself, before I buy something, "If I were to sell this thing, would this purchase add to the value as much as it costs?" an for a while it's been working cuz I've been buying almost complete bikes and stuff and just giving them what they need so like a $30 chain makes my $10 cateye run and drive, so i could probably sell it for like $100.
but, I've been working on a project from scratch (http://www.diygokarts.com/vb/showthread.php?t=6613) and the price is adding up fast (I estimate about $100 to finish it.) and it's starting to bug me.
So do you guys consider price alot when your building things?
Would you not go through with a cool project you started because of how much it would cost you all together?
If you were to build something like I am in the thread, how much would you be willing to spend on parts and stuff? (most of the cost is in the jackshaft setup)
