I was working so hard on the Kids karts that I got that itch. So I pull out my race kart. After a quick check over & gear swap.I was on the street :auto:.I rode for about 2miles to a friend house. He ask if he could ride I let him he goes around the block & fly. Trying to hide the kart 1 minute later a cop pulled up & was like cool kart but it's to low I can't see u.Next time ride on back blocks. I was like cool & thanks officer have a good one.Now every cop is not cool like him but RESPECT will get u & ur kart home. Be safe on the road my friends.

I've only had one run in with a cop... a DOT SUV. **** that thing is scary, I was riding on a 7 mile long trail next to my house and they were checking for motorized vehicles and fishers. I bailed onto a secondary trail and rode through the forest back to my house, and hid it in the garage.

My tip, if it's a cop car, just pull over. If it's a DOT car, drive like hell. They will nail you.
In my experience riding around in the truck with my father, in my home town you'll get pulled over doing 5 over. In the neighboring town, we did 80MPH in a 45MPH done downhill with another truck while no one was around. Didn't see the cop. The other truck realized first. No ticket. He said "be careful boys."

[end of brain memory dump]

I've got a county, and state trooper both practically across the street from me on the top of our hill, on our dead-end road. Sometimes I'll ride down the hill and do a 180 in the gravel right next to the dead end. They just laugh and grab their 4 wheelers.

Ok I just talked my kart off the tow truck. According to the officer who was investigating a double shooting I was doing 60.But no radar gun. But he really was trying to take my kart home I think good thing I know the lady that out ranks him.But with that my itch has been scratched!!!! Be safe & respectable to the law....No fun loosening ur kart or life.

I have a retired cop lives in the cul-de-sac next to my house where my daughter rides her kart. He actually congratulated me on the build & said "Good idea, it'll give her some road sense"

My next-door neighbour is a cop. He loves watching me shake my stuff down. Key points, though: I live out on a rural dirt road in the country, AND he sees that I'm helmeted, and very conscious of my surroundings.

In the small town that i live in (actually considered a village) there are three cops whom sit in the same spots each and every day... they are very predictable to the locals. so hopefully i wont get pulled over zooming around. At least i know the chief of police if i end up in trouble.

i was riding my minibike before an engine swap. neighbors complained to the cops and the cop came down when my friend got on the bike. cop asked if had motorcycle endorsement. didnt need one at the time and wasnt helmeted he just let us off with a warning.

but like everyone else says just be respectful and wear a helmet
