Just an FYI for anybody who commonly cuts their own tube, this could be a very handy item from HF: https://www.harborfreight.com/universal-portable-band-saw-benchtop-stand-59640.html

I have the Bauer Porta-band, and it works fantastic, I prefer it for all cutting except when its too awkward to wield. This would have been very helpful at the start of my build.

Agreed, I have seen other ones, but they are at least $50 more, and those don't turn the saw into a chop/miter saw setup. Super cool.

I saw that the other day. I think I might have to go pick one up at some point. I have a Milwaukee porta band saw, and the SWAG table for it to mount to, and it does well, but is completely vertical & stationary. I like the idea of this allowing it to function like a "real" bandsaw. I did pick up one of the HF 4x6 bandsaws last year though, and it has done well on the few things I've use it on also, it just seems a little top heavy at times. One of these days, I'll widen the base/legs on it. Until then, my Mil/SWAG combo has allowed me to have both a vertical and horizontal saw without having to reconfigure either of them.
