Lots of people build engines from scratch. Most scratch builders simply copy well known practice. Do you know anybody involved in design theory?

You apparently don't understand the difference between theoretical discussions and automotive design factors. That's funny.

Yes, now that I think of it.. I actually know two.
desertduler of course and a friend of mine who moved to Stuttgart about 15 years ago...
to work for Porsche Engineering in Weissach.
We haven't spoken for -:eek: too long- but I still consider him a friend :D
But I still 'know' him to say the least ;)

Anyways, I do understand what you're trying to say, and I think I can differentiate between theory and practice;
but as Doug stated earlier.. I don't think we talk about just theory here ;)

And as soon as Bret has his engine ready, I hope I can get the chance to buy one...
I want one;
I'd say I NEED one, but that'd be a lie :D
I'm not too sure I'd buy a six-stroke conversion Kit for my gx-clone though ;)
