Hello,
I have what I think is a 30 series converter. When I was swapping it to the new engine I disassembled it to far and the great spring came out. I put it back together but I coiled the great spring up pretty tight before I sandwiched it back together. I notice my gokart lurches when you give it gas. Would this be the reason and also i feel my top end is slower then the others i was racing. Would that also cause this problem? how do I set it correctly?

You cont have to wind it up it ain’t no toy. Just turn it enough to get it to line back up and put it together. It’s just there to keep the ramps in contact and provide resistance to keep the shieves together. The tighter you make it the more resistant to upshifting it will be.
