Left drawer is sticking a little so i need to mess with that today before i continue painting. I'm a little behind my schedule. but paint is on and that was plan for the week.

Now time for sanding and painting cycle.

I think one more sand and poly coat on the top and painting is done? then maybe a buff n polish.

Then i need to let it sit for a day to dry/cure before trying to move it into the house.

Tested the glass fit and it was super tight. So i had to sand it back down and touchup the paint.

Everything fits now.

I recorded this a week ago. But maybe it's a nice relaxing change of pace for you.

Fired everything up. Tested out fan hub and ARGB hub. Even connected an RGB strip to the hub and everything worked.20220701_145555.jpg

haha, Computer Science Major. Software Engineer by trade. Game design on the side. But i just like to build things. go karts mini bikes, robots (at least try) i spend 80% of my life in front of a pc so might as well have an awesome desk. I've been thinking about making one for years. And my current motherboard cpu are like 7 years old. So when it was time for upgrade I started looking at cases for about a month or so. then decided $100 case? or a $3000 desk that is a case :)

Actually i have no idea how much i've spent so far. Amazon is loving me this year. PC upgrade parts ~1k, wood for desk...soo expensive. about $180, lift was $50, glass was $25. then a ton of misc wires. left over plexiglass and a ton of fasteners that i didn't have....i'm thinking all the parts combined is about 3k? give or take a hundred or so. But thats mostly because i purchased a 3080 ti end of last year. that was expensive. half the total cost of this thing.

Okay i think for the most part it's done. Had the AC desk power short open. had to run power cable over side of desk to continue testing. Will order another one and replace this week. But here you go. mostly done. Image without glass installed. I will clean up new location and take another final image this week. Maybe a showcase video if i have time.

Thanks for viewing guys.

p.s. this thing screams, like a jet taking off. And it's a fast pc too. RGB does make a pc fast :)

So I take it you are happy with the performance! GAB on something is not all bad. Looks cool as all h311 though. Now down load some software so you can design and finish your crazy kart.

Oh yah super happy. Not as happy as i was making it though? the thrill of the build i guess. Or knowing i have something to build. Maybe I sell this and make another? I do have plans for a small touch screen game box for my kid. I have left over wood and my old pc

Crazy kart would benefit from a lathe and a mill ;) I think if i did finish, it would explode in my lap. But my garage has tons of spare room now that i'm done with this desk! So you never know
