Do what russ says, if you got a tester if it is below 40psi I think it will not run. 100psi+ is good, 80psi is getting low, might burn oil or dilute oil from blowby.

Whats cc got to do with compression, Ive got 60 pounds of compression and no spark. I was just wondering if a briggs with 60 lbs is worth buying a new magnito, thats all!

Bman, you are a little confused. Engine displacement (CC or CID) has absolutely nothing to do with compression, which is measured in PSI. You cannot "lose" displacement.

Repeat your compression test, this time spinning the crank backwards- this defeats the compression relief mechanism designed to give easier starts- it will give you a much more accurate reading.
