I think I have myself all confused. Should the driven pull be facing the same way as the driver on this 20 series Comet?

The longer story, I called Comet to ask tech support a couple basic questions and wrongly told them I had a older 30 series based on what I read about it the 30 series being a 3/4" shaft and the 40 series a 1" shaft. As it turns out you can have either. Anyway, The tech guy at Comet was really helpful/ One of the questins he answered for me was NOT running the driven pulley backwards. He didn't say way but only said you shouldn't do that.
On this kart, when I got it, was like pictured. I assumed it was a asyemetric belt type based on the belief it was a 30 series. Now that I've takes in apart and cleaned and inspected it. the parts listing tell me it's a 20 series. This one uses the garter spring style counter weights. Again, thinking it was a Asymetrical belt, I bought one based on the size that Comet told me by a chart listing of the C-C spacing between the pulleys on a 7" driver pulley.
The kids have been riding it and it seems all good and everything but I wondered how much better it might be about a high speed vibration. It might be the engine, it might be a slightly bent fixed driver sheave as well.
So, I have the wrong belt on I think, I have both Fixed Sheaves on the driver/driven on the same side but that's opposite of what Comet says. If I flip it over like what Comet says, one fixed side is opposite of the other pulley and the belt rides up the pulley in opposite directions and gets quite out of alignment so I don't feel like thats right at all.

Go to gokart supply website and look on there. They have information on the 20 series. I honestly can’t remember.

"gokartsupply.com" website. Click on the square for Comet Drive Belts. All the info's there. Don't forget to scroll to the bottom of that page for a long read about them.
