So I am perfectly aware that my gear ratio is not what it should be, and I'm working on it so thats that. But I noticed that after driving for a good while, that my driven is actually HOTTER than my drive clutch. I can almost hold my finger on it. But my driven is quite a bit hotter. Why??? It just doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me. Anyone?

Sure.. the driven sees more abuse than the driver..

It is the part that is "locked" by the axle and your crappy gear ratio;
and it's the part that holds the "free to move" spring thus it allows the belt to slip sooner than the driver would.
And more slip: more heat!

PS Now fix your ratio ;)

My driven is always way hot, like can't touch it hot and my driver is barely warm. I have a 6.75:1 w/ 18" tires.

I figured it was the driven fighting the belt all the time. The belt wants to be pulled in to it and the units trying to close on it all the time.

The driver closes and the belt rides up like it is supposed to.
