Comet tav2 driven pulley springs

Comet tav2 driven pulley springs???? HELP.

I am going to change the green torsion spring to the yellow one (#216168A) when it comes in. Someone told me to use the GOLD spring (#215272A) with the green spring to stiffen things up. The gold spring is not a torsion spring and it doesn't fit inside the green spring. Was I given bad info? The gold spring is listed as a compression spring for the 20 and 30 series comets. The TAV2 is a 30 series......what gives?

I've never heard of that. Why don't you just buy a new green spring? The old one is probably worn out. Make sure you have some heavy duty snap ring pliers. I broke my crappy chinese ones trying to take the snap ring off...it's HEAVY DUTY!

I reset the green spring on number 3 but I am still putting in the heavier yellow spring on number 3. I have good snap ring pliers. No problems there! The green spring is too weak.....it's good for flat land only. The yellow spring is the ticket.
