Comet FNR transaxle?

I have an old Manco quester 3 wheeler that has a Comet forward/neutral/reverse gearbox/transaxle thing in it.

Anyone have any info on these? I see they may have been used in offroad buggies or?? Can't find any info.

Comet went bankrupt and another company bought them out. The F-N-R transmissions are being made again. I got a new one 10 days ago.
