When i see coloured tools i always think they are of a lower quality. It always makes me think of people who are not serious about tools, and who will buy them because they are just neon green or something

How about a link to what you saw. That would help GREATLY

ML-TOYS is correct... It is created for easy recognition of size and location. I work as a designer for NAPA. That's the type of marketing feedback we use from our race teams, service technicians, and consumers when creating our Carlyle tool brand. You would wonder why someone would want neon orange or lime green screwdrivers...service techs use it to help locate and retain their tools before shutting the hood or leaving them in the vehicles compartments. They are the same make and quality as our standard blue & yellow.

oh that makes sense having different colors would also help find the sizes you would just have to remember what size has what color and thats what i like but i was just unsure if they were still good quality knowing they were colored witch was something I've never seen till now

I have had the hand ratchet wrenches and sockets for a for years now with my race team... the coloring will wear off and leave you with silver tools again after a while... but it is easier for me to yell "bring me the red one" versus find the 14mm...

because the tools are cheap enough, I rotate them out every year or two anyway...

That sounds like a great Idea. My kids do not know fractions yet. So "no I said the Yellow one!" is better than "never mind I'll get it myself"
