Well, I am new to this concept. I am assuming from what I have read, that by changing either the drive sprocket or clutch sprocket (or combination of both) that you can increase top speed and engine rpm. Well, I have hoping not to run over 6000 rpm on my briggs even though I have beefed it up with billet goodies, and am now wondering if a there are different size sprockets available for regular comet or ss fun kart clutches or do I have to buy some sort of fancy racing clutch. Also, I don't know the # of my 5 horse block, but I had to have it bored .020 over and now cannot use the .010 piston. I have seen .020 raptor pistons for sale, but cannot figure out if they are chromed or not (my block is cool bore). I also looked at stock .020 briggs piston and ring kits on ebay, but they do not say whether they are chromed or not. Can anyone assist me in finding a low price chromed .020 piston either performance or stock.
