Got a Phoenix eagle lx go kart with a 136 tooth axle sprocket and I have a 212 predator engine. I bought a clutch kit with 10 teeth I think... But the chain seems to not line up at all with the sprocket! Any help would be greatly appreciated!

There are motor plates that allow you to move the engine side to side. You bolt the plate to your kart motor mount. It has sets of slots that allow movement both fore and aft as well as side to side. I have used these on karts where it was not practical to move the axle sprocket. Go Power Sports and OMB Warehouse both sell them.

If you flip the clutch on the engine crankshaft, does it help?
They can be mounted with the sprocket inboard, toward the engine, or outboard, away from the engine.

Also, are you saying the chain does not fit the sprockets?
A 10 tooth clutch would probably be 40/41 chain, and a 136 tooth sprocket sounds like #35 chain.
A 136 tooth #41 sprocket would be HUGE, I think.

You will have to adjust the engine to the axel sprocket. Wether you make one your self or by one.
You said a 143 tooth? That is a bit much. For example on kart 1 I have 10 tooth clutch and a 37 tooth sprocket with a 10 HP engine. Slow to start but a lot of top end at 52 mph. Kart 2, 10 tooth clutch and a 42 tooth sprocket. A little fàster to start moderate top end at 46. That being said I would go with a sprocket between 40 and 60 tooth. The smaller size sprocket on the axel will give you more top end usualy. A bigger one will give you faster acceleration but lower top end
