clutch & shaft ?

My clutch dosent seem to fit on my new clone. I dont have my ole tecumshe, so i cant compare. If i slide my spacer and iner clutch on the shaft, there is only 1/2 left for the outer part of the clutch. Even if i put it on the bolt doent catch.

I ony get about 1/2 inch on mine, works fine. Just get a longer bolt. I think mine came with a 2" bolt?

if i use a smaller spacer, then i have to move the engine over so the belt will line up. If i do that then the engine is real close to the chain

Don't bother with any other spacers as long as the pulley sheaves are lined up. Just get a longer bolt.

another ? i have is do you think this clutch will hold up? is a 6.5 clone with. it doesnt say what series is on the clutch

14cc head
gov removed
flat top piston
filter and exhaust

It will hold up fine. Just get a longer bolt my friend.

any one know the size of the bolt? i bought 8mmx1.0 at home depot, and they thread in a few then bite.

IIRC 5/16-24 or 7/16-20

I think it is the 5/16-24. But bring the original bolt to HD with you - they have bolt sizers there that will allow you to be sure.

All that is required for the main assembly with hub is at minimum 1/4" to hold it on, the main thing you need is a longer bolt. You will be fine, just make sure the back plates line up well.

I know on the larger engines, i guess 7hp and up? they use 7/16-20, at least i think? And yea, why don't you bring the bolt you have with you? Will make life easier.

Some larger engines use 3/8" fine thread, I'm not sure I've ever seen one with 7/16... ever.

i did but the sizer a depot is so sloppy from everyone useing it. Thats how i came up with a 8mm bolt.

Use the bins of loose nuts to size the bolt.....
