Is it normal for the black part on a clutch to move some? My clutch lines up with my rear sprocket when it is pulled out, but it can also move back do it is not lined up with the sprocket. Another question is when I took it out for the first time today the chain kept on not hooking onto the clutch, when everything is brand new and all size 35, but it looks like there is a lot of extra chain hanging, so I think that might be the problem. Thanks to everyone!

Black part? My entire clutch is black.Need pic.

It does sound like your chain is way too slack. Post a pic that shows the engine, clutch, chain, and axle sprocket in one photo.

i beleive chain should have about 1/2 play in it, as for the clutch moving about, are there set screws and keyway in? if there is, it looks to be your chain has to much slack

You want a 1/4" of play in that chain, it also looks as though you've got movement in that clutch left and right on the shaft itself, did you use any spacers to snug it up on the shaft in proper alignment?

Finally your brake band looks scarily like the cheap chinese rubber they sell at northern tool, is it by any chance one from their shelves?

I have alittle bit of play in my minibike clutch drum, but it is on in reverse, so for me it doesn't really seem to matter. I find that when everything is moving that it all lines up on its own. You need to have a tighter chain than what you have though, or the movement is going to make it kump off your clutch.

From what I can see in your pics it appears that your clutch & sprocket are very close to each other (in height). I'm no expert but I would suggest moving your engine up & across so that the sprockets line up when the clutch drum is pushed back & there is at least 1/2 inch between the sprockets
