So I bought a 6.5 hp harbor freight engine to put on my go kart. I bought a 41 chain 3/4 bore clutch to put on it, the clutch. Slides on really well, and I got the chain on pretty easily. So with great excitement I was driving up and down the street for about 10-15 minutes, later that day the chain broke off. After I put it back on, it rode again for about 7 minutes, then it broke off again. Finally I put it back on and ever sense then the chain no longer breaks off, but instead falls off after about 3 feet of riding. I believe this could be do to the fact that there's nothing actually holding my clutch on, -(sprocket is in front and stops clutch from completely falling off)-and the movement of the clutch is falling off. But my clutch has no way of tightening it down to the shaft. I thought about putting a PVC 3/4 spacer in the back of the clutch and then a bolt and spacer in the front, but I don't know the thread size of the shaft. Anybody know the thread size on the shaft of the predator 6.5 shaft?
you need that bolt .
