Hi there, i just joined the Forum, anyways i have an 8hp off road go kart and the clutch seems to keep coming loose and is sliding all over the drive shaft, (centrifugal clutch by the way) and i couldn't tighten it as much as i could but it would still slide around when drive it

any advice would be helpful

I had the same problem with the single set screw clutch on my tec. Try locktite, i used permatex once and it worked good, lightite would have been even better.

yes, the shaft is drilled and Tapped, i think it's a Max torque clutch but i'm not 100% sure, thanks for all the suggestions, i'll try them out

If its drilled and tapped and space permits a flat washer, lock washer, and bolt will be much more effective than set screws if you have the ability to use it.

I'm not saying set screws do not work but the bolts are easier and far more effective IMO.

You can also add loctite to the bolt if you desire. The only downside to this path is that you must space the clutch on the shaft using washers for alignment.
