Can I eliminate the cvt on my red fox lxt with a 6.5 horse motor and use a centi. clutch? the rear tires are 18x9x8

I agree with Toy's; stepping down to just a clutch from a TC will only hurt performance.....

I just wanted to simplify. not sure if the comet 30 is any good.
A comet 30 costs about ten times as much as a clutch. ($200 vs $22)
And a well maintained comet 30 is worth it.
It almost triples your take off torque and can add another 10% to your top speed.
On 18" wheels you'd need to add at least 16 Teeth to move the kart if you remove the TC. (because of the missing take off torque)
And that'll drop your top speed even further than just the 10% above.
So yeah.. it's good to have a comet 30 on your kart

why not post pics of your set up and maybe we can figure out your problem. And describe what's going on.... Or not....
