These karts are becoming an addiction, picked two more up today. Wife isn't to pleased, but my boy and my nephews are excited. One of todays picks, does not have a clutch or chain. How do you go about knowing what to get, I have seen reference to 35T # something etc. What does this mean or does it matter ? The engine is a 5hp Tecumseh, only thing on the side is the shaft. I need a clutch, chain etc. to mount the clutch.

The second one, has a 5hp Briggs just like project #2 I posted yesterday, same exact setup. The clutch is stuck engaged, and will be replaced with the chain. Would it be better to change the sprockets as well on both, the teeth look good. Thanks for any input.

i think you mean #35 which is the pitch of the chain. that is very important. to know what clutch i have some questions.

Size of wheels?

# of teeth on the axle sprocket?

Live or dead axle?

1 or 2 seat?

shaft size?

Wheels, are the small regular but will get size.
Dead axle
2 seat (narrow)
Shaft size, will measure.
Sprocket, will have to count unless it's marked.

I will probably go new everything including the sprocket if that helps.
