I'm currently in the planning stages of a board track racer project from a 700c hybrid bicycle I acquired a few years back. The plan is to use a Predator 420cc motor and build it up over time for as close to 30+ as I can get. I have not been able to source a TC or CC (besides Noram Tri-Lobe) that can handle the kind of power I am looking at. I could always do a direct chain with no clutch and have to restart the bike after I stop, but this would be highly inefficient and make racing (if I ever go to the strip) difficult. So, does anyone have exhaustive knowledge on something that would meet my criteria?

If you research the Noram Star clutch model, you'll find that quite a few kart-racers have had very good results with this clutch holding up to 50hp engines. It's a 1" bore model that'll fit your engine.

Thanks for the direction towards the star clutch, i'll go look into that. After posting I did more research and found the Duster 94c, also found out how hard/expensive they are to get.

For a board track racer you probably would want to use just a cent clutch because there's effectively no power loss with them. A CVT can chew up a ridiculous amount of power if it isn't 100% perfectly aligned. Even then it's somethings a 10-20% power loss.
