Clutch Belt Problem Jumping

Hmmm. Have you checked that all the surfaces are smooth, the springs aren't worn, your driver and driven are perfectly lined up etc
The piece of the inside which have the two springs seems to have done a serious friction with the part in which it attach to. It comes out hard but I can twist it around easily. Parts are very rusty... Can I apply some paint or something to the outside of clutch?
Edit-
When using my go kart I press gas and it takes some time for it to engage... and then it jumps... lacks power...

I spend some time today cleaning and polishing metal until it shines like new. See pictures for details. I saw that the piece in which the two springs holds it have some heavy wear. I do not know If this is normal or if I should replace that part. I have not tried it yet... is it safe to have paint in the clutch? I painted the outer parts which were very rusty.
