Hey I am wondering what is the best way to keep my housing on my clutch from wobbling. Like when i turn my engine on the clutch housing will wobble and sound like somebody is ringing bells. This only happens when i am idling but i am trying to figure out away to make my clutch housing more snug so it wont do that.
Any advise or tips?

Also i am using a HF 6.5 motor

What brand is the clutch you are using?

It sounds to be like you've not been oiling your clutch regularly and have worn the bushing nearly to death.

3 in 1 works just fine for oiling the clutches. Since Hilliard clutches are not being held on by a snap ring you may just try using a sized spacer to hold this in place better. It shouldn't be rocking that much when in place properly.

I will say this, if you've replaced the bushing it was clearly worn, the shaft of the main portion of the clutch may have been worn at the same time. Was there a specific reason besides wear that made you replace that part?

The bushing is help on my a snap ring..
But i replace the bushing because it shatter into pieces and just broke. So i put a new one in there and it doesn't make the bell sound as much as the old one did.. But it is very minor that it makes the sound.

Just keep oiling it, if you like you can apply a thin layer of grease instead of oil and that will achieve the same effect but this will be the best for the longevity of the clutch. The rattling will get worse as the new bushing wears but there is not much you can do about what is remaining from what i'm hearing. Cheers.

Alright, I am going to try to some high temp grease. I think that will hold better and help with the rattling.Because it will keep things in place tighter, if you get what i mean.
